At this point in time, MCSD is an obsolete certification. It'll be around
for a while yet, and you can still get it, but the technology that it
represents (.Net 1.1) is obsolete.
The MCPD track is the current generation of certs, and were you should be
looking at this point in time. It's .Net 2.0 with plans to add in MCTS for
..Net 3.0.

I am a software professional having 3 years of professional experience. I
hold a BE degree in ECE. I want to persue microsoft cirtification to
enhance
credentials for taking up a team lead or project lead position in comming
years. I have not appeared for any cirtifications till now.
Please advice me what should be the right approach and cirtifications
