.NET VS Java certificates

Does anyone know if .NET certifications are better than Java certifications
in terms of salary and how easy to find a job? Of course it depends on the
persons and experiences, but I am wondering if one is valued over the other.

It looks like MS and Sun have similar certifications (on the surface, at
least).
