Re: Can Exam 70-621 be used in place of 70-620

Hi all.

Are you really sure, that the MCDST-Upgrade (70-621) isn't worth the 70-620?
When I look at this: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-621.mspx I
read the following:
Credit toward certification
This exam is only relevant to MCDST customers. When you pass Exam 70-621
UPG: Upgrading Your MCDST Certification to MCITP Enterprise Support, you
complete the requirements for the following certifications:

. Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Support Technician

. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows Vista,
Configuration





So I read : passing the 70-621 makes you MCTS - Vista Configuration and this
is the point the original poster wanted to know.
In my opinion this must be enough to fullfil the need for the client OS ?!?

And the original MCDST cert would fill the elective exam for the MCSA.

Once again. 621 is NOT a client exam. It's an upgrade exam -- it
upgrades your MCDST to and MCITP. 620 is a client exam for VISTA, and
as such qualifies as a client option for any cert that requires one. 621
is not listed as a client exam for the MCSA.

As an alternative, you can use the MCDST cert as an elective for the
MCSA. A complete list of certs you can sub is at the bottom of the
