Re: How many questions in 070-290

First, let me say that LnkWizard2 made some excellent points that you should pay
some attention to.

I had 50000000000000000 questions.
Wow, I can't believe the level of stupidity that graces these groups.

I can't believe the arrogance of some in these groups.

You're confusing arrogance with confidence sweetheart.

#1, Why would you readily give
someone...anyone....EVERYone....information that you had to spend
money your hard earned money to get?

Sharing is a wonderfull thing, so is helping someone. If you can do
that by just answering someones simple question, you should !

Ok, there is nothing wrong with helping people...I do it all the time....but
there is a time and a place for everything....and here is not the place to
(publicly) violate the NDA. If you've got a friend at home that wants to know
how many questions YOU had on the exam...by all means, tell her. But when you
post something in here you need to be a little less giving. Let them work for
it.

How would you feel if one of your (junior) bosses kept coming to you for help?
Especially when you know that person supposedly has more experience than you. I
know you would feel honored that someone thinks enough of you for ask you for
your advice...but how would you REALLY feel about that person? You'd
think....Wow...does this guy know anything about his field...believe me, we've
run into alot...ask any MCNGP, MVP, or MSFT type and you will find that it is
all too common.

#2, How is the number of questions on YOUR exam relevant to the
number of questions on (whoever's) exam? M$ has (pick a high number)
of exam formats...that they are always changing. Now...you've told
(whoever it was) that there are 50 questions on the exam....What IF
that person walks in....prepared for a 50 question exam.....and
he/she actually gets a 65 question exam??? All you're doing is
screwing people up...STOP IT!!! If someone wants to know the number
of questions...give them a general figure....45 to 70 is about right
and should cover most, if not all exams.

Why should you give them a general figure? do you really think that
knowing how many questions others have had on their exams is
'screwing people up'? How?

Yes, it is! Because people take things literally. If you tell 10,000 people that
there are EXACTLY 55 questions on an exam (which you did BTW) I would say a
great majority of the n00bs will expect there to be EXACTLY 55 questions on an
exam. There are some smart kids out there that look up to people in these
newsgroups and believe we know more than them...especially when we answer one of
their questions...just don't mislead them....give them a general figure and let
them decide whether to study for the low end or the high end...that right there
separates the good from the bad.

#3, Why would you give out information that clearly violates the M$
NDA? The # of questions is a *variable* (as I stated above) any
variable that M$ deems can change at any time, falls within the
guidelines of violating the Non-Disclosure Agreement...which YOU
signed when you took the exam. M$ does have a team of people that
monitor these ng's for NDA Violations

Knowing how many questions you may get in an exam is not making the
exam easier; you still don't know what the questions will be about.
It is not making any difference in preparing for the test. So why
should this be violating the NDA?

Was this a response to #3? Did you read the paragraph above? I don't recall
saying it would make the exam easier. But I did say WHY it violated the
NDA....because it is a VARIABLE.....the questions vary...the number of questions
varies....that is what makes them a variable.

....If you're lucky, they'll
just give you a warning and nothing more.

oooh noooo....thank god I'll stil be CCNA

So you'll still have your CCNA...once you're banned from one certification, word
gets around quick and you will be banned from taking certs of any kind...you may
not *lose* your CCNA, but what happens when you want to get your CCNP or CCIE?
then what?

Please people...think before you post!

I think that the way you are responding to people here is something
you should really think about.

Oh believe me darlin...our responses have been well thought out...we do this on
a daily basis. I do apologize if I came across a little harsh (not really) but
you wouldn't have understood if I hadn't. Well, I hope you understand.
