Here is a question from a popular site:What site are you referring to?
You are a desktop administrator for a branch office. All computers run
Microsoft Windows XP Professional and are members of a workgroup.
Sue is a Web developer. She needs to be able to access files from four
different computers on the local area network. She also wants the same
desktop shortcuts and Start menu items to be available on all computers.
Sue's My Documents folder contains a large number of files. You need to
allow Sue to access her files and shortcuts without unnecessary delay when
logging on to the network.
What should you do? (Choose two. Each correct answer represents part of the
solution.)
As what the site says, these are the correct answers:
--> Enable a roaming profile for Sue.
--> Redirect Sue's My Documents folder to a network share.
Here is my question:
How can I enable roaming profiles on a workgroup? AFAIK roaming profiles are
available only in domain, and infact in XP system properties the "change
type of profile" to roaming profile is grayed.
Any suggestion?
Thans a lot
MD
Yes, you are correct....RPs can only be assigned in Domains and workgroups don't
support network shares, so neither answer would be correct. Are those the only
two answers available? Are you sure you read the question and answers
correctly?
