Good people fail the 290 once or twice...the new tests are harder, which
strengthens the certification. These harder tests also ensure that just
studying the exam prep tests will not lead to a pass, as they did in the NT4
days.
Were you getting 1000/1000 on the Transcender, fully understanding why the
answer to the question you were answering was the answer to the question.
Or, had you just memorized all the answers? My suggestion is to look at the
test page @ the Microsoft learning site, understand the requirements of the
exam, and, if need be, study with Microsoft "approved" test prep materials.
Don't memorize the answers...memorize why the answers are the answers. Once
you know why you are selecting answer X, you will likely do better on the
test.
In addition, it does not hurt to stand up a test lab, even if it is with
VMWare, and mess around with the OS.
