Unfortunately, they *are* free. And e-books are not just in pdf format.
You'll find a lot of chm's around.

Passing them around is a crime.
Its not fair to the guy that put his nights and weekends into the book.

I don't think these idiots care about that.

As an author and a fellow coder, it really bothers me that my associates
(you guys) would be so eager to shuttle these pdfs around as if they're
shareware.

Hmmm... time to change those whom you "associate" with.

And to be so idiotic as to post your email address (some of them are
corporate even) shows an incredible lack of intelligence and morality.

I don't agree... It shows a very credible lack of intelligence. I can
vouch for the fact that most of these dumba$$es haven't a shred of
intelligence.

If you steal these books, I hope you fail the test, lose your job and find
yourself homeless and destitute.
