Check out http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa559685.aspx. It's title
is "What Is the File Adapter?" and it includes a section entitled "File
Receive Adapter use of File Change Notifications and Polling".

File System = NFTS
Would you know where I can get information that describes details
regarding
how the BizTalk Receive Function operates, ie. what type of connection is
made from the RF to the polling directory, how does the RF know that a
file
arrives in the directory, ect.. ???
Thanks for your assistance!!!

2. The remote server is Windows Server 2000 - SP3. It's a corporate SAP
system that is writing the files to the directory. I am asking them to
review how they write/lock/save the files to see if that is a problem
but
have not heard back from them. What is the file system? NTFS? FAT32?
