RE: System Error receiving a flat file

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I have a system that receives a flat file, the system that generates the file
needs between 2 to 4 hours to complete the export. To handle this it creates
the file witha .tmp extension, and on completion renames the file to .csv.

The receive port is listening for files that match *.csv.

Once the file has been recevied the BTSSVC Service terminates, and the
following event is logged int eh System Event Log:

Source: Service Control Manager
Event ID: 7011
Description:
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the
BTSSvc{ADA8D448-749F-4124-AFEF-51AD9921362F} service.

After this error the Service restarts, but if there other orchestrations
running during the crash, everything appears to be corrupted. The HAT shows
a large number of message instances, that cannot be terminated, and the
BizTalk seems to get itself into an endless loop of attempting to process
which ever messages it was processign when the error occured, currently the
only thing I can do, is stop the Service and manually clean the Message
Database.

Searching for Information on Event ID 7011, indicates that the Meta Database
coudl become corrupt, allthough there is no specific reference to BizTalk
Anywhere.

Has anyone seen this situtation before, or knows where else I should look ?

Thanks in advance,
Robin Boyd
