When you run configuration the account under which configuration.exe is run
needs to be DBA on the SQL box. It has to be a domain account, and you have
to have DTC configured on both machines. You can always pre-create the
databases and point configuration to them, but then you will need to be DBO
for those databases.

point to the list of domain groups that you will have to create.

We are trying to install BizTalk 2006 Server into a clustered
tier.We have SQL Server 2005 clustered and already installed within a data
ourWe are now trying to install BizTalk into a middle tier and point it at
attemptsdatabase server. However the installation keeps failing when BizTalk
beto create its databases on our clustered database server. This appears to
toa permissions issue. However, we have given sysadmin rights to the user
account which the BizTalk server services run under. This does not appear
eachaddress the issue. We have now had four attempts to install BizTalk and
Ifone failed â?? HELP!!!!
Does anyone have experience of installing BizTalk 2006 on a split
environment i.e. database held on a separate box to BizTalk application.
so how did you manage it?
