I'm glad it works. Are you using IE 7.0?

Hi Adrian.
The settings for Security validation was the default, and the
pleasefor the BAS site for anonymous was also default.
Turning off the Security Verification allowed my to Register the BizTalk
server (yay!)
Given this is a development system, that should allow me to continue.
If you want/need more information to work out the underlying cause,
Securityreply.
Thank you.

If this is a test machine where security is not that much of a concern,

Regarding your question, yes the WSS sites have their own
Access.settings. Can you check the BAS site authentication settings? They are
under Site Settings-> Go to Site Administration -> Manage Anonymous
rights.The default value are:
- Anonymous Users can access "Nothing".
- Allow all authenticated users to access site? "No"

Hi Adrian. Thanks for the reply.
My web.config does contain this entry.
<machineKey validationKey="6BE2..." decryptionKey="E017..."
validation="SHA1" />
It lives in the system.web node.
In relation to the other post, and as indicated in my original post,
sitessite is set to only use integrated security. Unless the individual
wouldin
the STS site can be configured to use different security model, I
thatassume that the BAS portal is only integratedsecuruty.
As a side note, STS it is NOT installed in the default website, if
makes any difference.
