Thanks for your replies guys,
devMonkey: my machine is on XP with biztalk and the other sql server is on
windows server 2003
Eliasen: I did exactly what you suggested, but unfortunately no succes
Fantini: I already downloaded this paper and have done the different
options.
After shutting down the windows firewall and my virus program (no virus
program on the remote windows server 2003) and stopping the firewall
service
on the windows server, the tool dtcping from my XP machine is working, but
I
keep getting the error from the windows server: "Problem:fail to invoke
remote RPC method Error(0x5) at dtcping.cpp @303 -->RPC pinging exception
-->5(Access is denied.) RPC test failed"
We really would like to know if any of you would know other options.

We googled and got tons of suggestions. Basicly we found a white paper
from
MS "Best practices for the sql adapter". We have done exactly what is
written
to no avail. However running the dtcPing tool gives us error: "1753(There
are
no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.)
RPC test failed".
We have opened for inbound and outbound on MSDTC on both sides. We have
no
firewall and antivirus. We are out of options. Does anyone have any
clues?
