Hi Waqar,
This seems to be the problem indeed (see
http://groups.google.nl/group/microsoft.public.biztalk.orchestration/browse_thread/thread/6b00dd73ec8174f9/dd8ab2b221dabbec?lnk=st&q=biztalk+ftp+openvms&rnum=3&hl=nl#dd8ab2b221dabbec).
Looks like the FTP protocol on the server is not compliant with the
protocol the adapter "speaks". Unfortunately, there are no plans to
include VMS support on the sort term (http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/
ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1639521&SiteID=1). Maybe you can manage to make
server speak the adapters protocol some way. As an alternative, you
can use another protocol like HTTP, if that's possible.

ThankYou Jan,
Yes the file mask is defined and the file listing received contains only
specified file mask. The ftp log that i sent you contains these file listing
see
ABC_ACT.DAT
VS10_B300_ACT.DAT
So it should start the file download process then, is nt it?

Hi there,Did you set the "file mask" property on the receive location properly?
My Receive location logs in successfully to FTP site but the files are not
downloaded.
I checked the log.. It executes list command but it quits after that without
executing any Recv command. The source system is not Windows NT. log is as
follows
If the adapter does not see any files matching the file mask after
listing the contants, no files are retrived. The "after get" command
is used AFTER a file has been retrieved. Since your adapter is not
picking up any files, the after command isn't fired as well.
