Hi,
Of course you can use the generic interfaces to communicate with
applications. Flat files, Xml or whatever you have or use. The generic
adapters are accessible out of box without additional cost. I don't know if
great plains has the export in those formats, but I'm sure that is has them.

I am newbie to biztalk and from my point of view it since that in
order to integrate two systems I need to have and apdapter or web
service for that particular system. What happen if I don't have an
adapter?
For example I want to integrate Microsoft great plains with a Pro/5
BASIC application on UNIX. Do I have to create a process to generate
and import XML or flat files on the UNIX in order to communicate with
it?
