Re: Register Biztalk server in BAS

Yes, that's the issue. It's a pretty well known problem, this error message
shows up quite often.

Finally found me problem!

My MSDTC wasn't set up right. BAS is installed on a Windows 2003 server
but my SQL server is a Windows 2000 server. So i had to change an
option in my windows 2003. I had to select the No Authentication
required.

thanks

Hi,

I'm trying to register a server in BAS, but after specifying the name,
DB, etc i keep getting this error.
"Failed to create the BizTalk registration for the BizTalk Server
named, 'Server\BTS_DB'.
An error occurred while enlisting in a distributed transaction."

I use a different user for these services:
Biztalk BAS Publishing Web Service Account
Biztalk BAS Management Web Service Account
BAM Query Web Service
Biztalk Server BAS Application Pool Account

My AppPool user is member of the BAS Admin group and has the rights to
create a DB on my SQL server.

The Biztalk BAS Management Web Service Account is memeber of the BAS
Managers, BAS Web Services and the Biztalk server Administrators group.

Anyone have an idea? Let me know if you need more details.

Thanks
