RE: BizTalk 2006 BAM Sample...

Hi Kiran,
Yes, actually the doc's refer to BTS2004. It is a doc bug that you are hitting.
In BTS2006, we have BAM XLA to be added in Excel instead of BAM.xls.

Thanks

Hi,

According to BTS2K6 BAM sample - BAM API, in the "To create a BAM
definition in Excel" section the initial steps insist to copy bam.xls
from the <Installation Path>/Tracking folder but when I browse through
my installation folder I can't find this xls file. Is this a
documentation bug related to BTS 2004 and related feature enhanced in
BTS2K6?

Becasue in some blogs/postings I see experts insisting to add Business
Activity Monitoring Add-in into Excel tools to get the BAM features
extended in Excel work*** and save this file to run the samples.

If its a documentation bug then I have wasted a number of hours to
verify my installation. I was in an intension that my installation is
not perfect since I installed BizTalk first and Office 2003 next. But
after re-installation of all in right sequence also I don't see the
bam.xls in the Tracking folder.

Appreciate your help in this regard. I have similar expeiences on other
two samples published as part of BAM samples. I will share those
experiences based on the responses to this posting.

Thanks,
Kiran Pabba
