RE: Test and Production environments



VS is not a requirement for your production machines, but it will help with
the management in 2004. In 2006, all of the functionality you would need
is available in an Admin MMC console, so VS doesn't ever have to be
installed in production.

Load and stress testing is a must in pre-production environments and this
is a great tool to accomplish this.

PerfMon is also a must. You can set up performance counters to keep track
of the health of your BizTalk, SQL, and collateral boxes.
