You're gonna hate to hear this but I'd recommend a wipe and reload. If the
installation failed and the removal failed there are probably quite a few
registry entries that need to be cleaned up as well as left over assemblies
in the GAC. It may save time and effort just to wipe and reload the server.

Keep in mind the BTS2006 CTP was pre beta 1 code and should never be
installed on a production server.
