Tom,
     By any chance, did you create the map in the project root and then
move it to the /map folder? Have you tried right-clicking the /map folder
and selecting add->add new item...and then creating your map file in the
/map folder? Please let me know so I can confirm we are dealing with
apples and apples.

The quick answer as we know right now is to save everything to the root. I
am following up with development to find out if this was intentional.
