Originally I was thinking some other software package such as Mercator
or Gentran that nornally translates EDI but is XML capable. I would
translate incoming EDI to XML and then use BizTalk to pick it up and
process it. On the outbound side I would use the EDI product to
translate XML to EDI and send via a VAN.
It did not occur to me that there might be VANs out there that would
accept an X12 850 Purchase Order from a trading partner for example
and translate it to XML so I could pick it up with BizTalk. If there
are I would definately be interested.
