How to View Information About Small Business Server Client Add Pack Diskette
Usage

See what the setup program says it thinks is the Mac address for the CALs
(the CALs are tied to the SBS internal NIC MAC address when they are
installed).
You should have 2 NICs in your SBS 2000 server, one can be referred to as
"internal" (for SBS LAN use), the other "external" (attaches to your router
or broadband modem). When you reinstalled, did you use the same NIC for the
internal NIC as was previously used in your original install?
Also, the CALs must be either applied in the order they were installed or
you can simply use the last CAL pack that was installed. If you have two
floppies, try both to reinstall the CALs.
SBS2000: Add Pack disk cannot be applied because your network adapter is
inaccessible

Hi all,
Previous boss has a W2K SBS, plus 2 x 5 CAL packs.
Striped HDD failed, lost raid controller.
Installed new HDD on Pimary IDE controller.
None of the restore attempts have worked (using ERD, tape disaster
recovery
etc)
I re-installed w2K SBS from scratch but when trying to install the CALs, I
get a message stating the installer could notfind the MAC address. Note
that
the onlydifference to the hardware is the onboard raid is disabled and
removed the SCSI card for the tape drive (no longer used)
Is this an experience that any-one else has had?
I contacted support and they want to charge $390 for something that should
just work.
Advice appreciated.
Cheers all.
