Re: SBS2000 Fax Client and Vista

Ah yes but I thought SBS 2000 was a server product that worked with ALL
Microsoft clients - silly me - I forgot that MS want to force people to
upgrade.
The fix would be simple and clearly is a design plan to hurt their loyal
server base.
I would imagine a few lines of code would allow for the support.
Come on Microsoft - some of us are waiting for SBS 2008 before we upgrade.....

ISA client was written to support ISA 2000 - surely the same could be done
for the Fax client support.
If MS is reading this post - please understand that all you are doing is
allowing others to discover 3rd part fax solutions - all for the sake of a
tiny amount of recoding. I hope a futher patch of Vista SP1 will make us all
happy : )

You don't see a lot of support/new functionality for Windows 2000 pro either...

Actually the firewall client is pretty independent of the version of ISA because the same firewall client works with ISA 2006

I too have had the same issue and find it increadible that Microsoft thinks
that everyone as upgraded to SBS2003 - as clearly this is not the case.
Microsoft updated the ISA2000 client to work with Vista so there seems to be
no reason why they shouldnt update the fax client on SBS 2000 to work with
Vista.

Come on Microsoft - it really cant be that hard to do
