Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Have you run:

Ipconfig /flushDNS
Ipconfig /registerDNS

Have the Vista machines got any additional connections set up ?

There are actually 253 addresses that can be utilized by DHCP. I have 1.0.0.1
thru 10.0.0.254. I have four ranges that are excluded of which one is the
10.0.0.1 thru 10.0.0.9 for sbs. I have fifteen client licenses and I only
have seven clients showing on the address leases and six printers and one
scanner for a total of fourteen address leases. It is my understanding that
sbs doesn't count printers and such items in the total client liscense count
so I am good I think on the liscensing issue. The problem is that I have a
blue exclamation mark on the server and when I right click on it and click on
the server statistics in shows 202 addresses which is what I have left out of
the 253 less the four excluded ranges and 202 in use which equates to 100%
useage and 0% available which is the reason I am having the low connectivity
problem with adding a new XP computer to the domain. The only thing that has
changed on our domain is that I added two Vista business clients and they
connected fine but I have a sneaking suspiscion they may be the culprits.
Does this help some more?
