though I appreciate your concerns about breaking installer info I'd remove 3
and try the fax install. You can download the installer separately to get
back to 3 if the removal allows you to fix the problem.

We are going to be moving to SBS 2003/2007 in approx 7 months but in the
mean time I need this working NOW. The knowladge base artical 899748
which
was written in July of 05 says to un-install the installer. Well back
then
that would have been easy. But with the 70+ patches and updates that have
since been rolled out since that time it no longer valid information. I
do
NOT want to even attempt to uninstall them all and get screwed, hacked or
have it just suddenly have the server NOT work anymore because one or more
of
the roll backs causes problems with something else that has also been
installed in the last two years.
There has to be a way currently to install this service ASAP.
