Hi Pedro,
Thanks for your reply. I went onto the site and tried to restart on the
site and it came up with a blue screen Bugcheck. I have not installed any
new equipment or software for about 12 months so am unsure what the cause is
at the moment.

maybe there is some service that is not stopping properly and is
preventing the server from rebooting....
You may want to google for the registry key "waittokillservicetimeout"
that defines how much time the server waits for a service to terminate
properlly. After that time it will kill the service/process.
Also you ca try psshutdown from SysInternals (part of the PsTools suite).
It's freeware and can be found at www.sysinternals.com . It is a great
remote shutdown tool because it allows you to (brute) force a shutdown if
you can't get a normal, friendly shutdown to work.

Hi,
Has anyone got any ideas why the SBS2000 won't remote re-boot as this
becomes a hassle after installing MS patches remotely.
