Re: SBS 2000 Trashed

How many users are involved?
Jeff's SBSMigration that Frank mentions is great, especially if you want to
avoid having to visit every computer and make changes to every computer. It
allows you to build and test your new sBS2003 server offline, without
affecting anyone else. Then, when you are ready to cutover, you simply need
to move over your data files. Best thing is that the user's simply turn on
their workstations and never know that anything has changed.

Otherweise, you can simply build your SBS2003 server from scratch, recreate
manually all your user and computer accounts, and shared folders and
printers. Then you would need to rejoin each user's workstation to the new
server, which will require copying each user's custom settings (desktop,
cookies, favorites). This is fine if you have a hanfdul of users.
