Wow, the same question twice in one weekend!
The answer is that as long as you have a hardware Raid controller, you can
put your system partition on a Raid-5 disk system. All of my current SBS2000
and 2003 servers are configured with the system partition on Raid-5. They
work fine.
However, that's not to say that, given enough disk spindles, that a better
scenario would be to use a two disk Raid-1 mirror setup for your systme
partiton, and then a spearate Raid-5 setup for your data and applicaiton
requirements.
