Re: Instant Messaging not working

Jeff (and Kevin),

You have to start off with naming the IM application (and version) to
identify what protocols are being used, then whether communications are from
an Internet remote user to the SBServer, from a LAN User to the SBServer,
crossing from the Internet to the LAN, LAN to the Internet, Internet to
Internet but authenticating to a Server in the SBS network or something else.

Believe it or not, every scenario I just mentioned may or may not be
supported and requires different configuration depending on the app you use.

Remember, if you're using Exchange2K IM, you must use the old Exchange IM
Client, not the newer versions.

Also, the error messages you're showing aren't normally associated with
standard IM, are you trying to go across ISA using multimedia?

Summary:
LAT error usually relates to someone using a private address connecting to
the SBServer from the Internet and your LAT contains more than just the
specified address range your LAN is using.

Streaming Media Filter - Should be enabled, verify it is. But, depending on
what you did to trigger this error, maybe it's relevant and maybe not.
