Though you are transferring the devices they will _probably_ use different
resources on the new mobo. Effectively, windows will think they are new
devices, but LO, just happen to have a driver handy.
The bit about the loopback adapters can save you a HEAP of time. It's not
necessary and is something you can gamble about. ie. Take ten minutes now to
do the loopers and save an hour or two later, or maybe not do them and
magically find the loopers were unnecessary in your case.
As you're changing mobo's you might look at which HAL you're running. You
might also start an install on the new mobo to see which HAL it loads. In
general I haven't seen it as a problem but if you are currently running a
custom HAL it may simply not work for the new mobo.
