Well I've tried changing the port that the smtp server uses to port 27
and that allows a connection through telnet. So I think it is still an
issue with either ISA blocking the port (despite being told not to)/ BT
blocking the port (although they aren't supposed to for business users
with static IP)/ Some other random problem. I've also tried disabling
the packet filters through ICW but that didn't help.

Although it does work on port 27, I've read on the newsgroups there
isn't any viable way to let the outside world know that they have to
send smtp on port 27. Is this true or is there any way of redirecting
the port (considering it is a BT adsl router with limited settings).
