Hi
SBS2000, XP Pro SP2 clients. Out-the-box install but with some ISA tweaks to
control web access for certain users.
We have some vertical market software (client/server) that needs to send
documents using our Exchange 2000 server. The setup dialog asks for
servername, then username & port number. I have tried servername in varying
formats (192.168.16.2, servername, servername.domain.local), username is
varying formats (username, domain\username, username.domain.local) & port
25. I haven't had any luck getting this to work. I think that the issue may
be the port number, as it *could* be applying to the port number on the
local machine, instead of the server...?
Please can anyone suggest what the format should be & also is there any
other reason why this software can't connect to Exchange?
The manufacturer claims that he has this running on other SBS sites, I'm not
so sure. :-(
Regards
Nick (UK)
