I set all my machines to autosense. I had a real horrid speed issue
with a new server with Intel gigabit nics. I had set the nic to
100-full and it took forever to print. Ok it only took 30 minutes to
print something. When I set everything back to autosense the same
document was trying to print by the time I walked to the printer.
Sending a file to the server went from 5 minutes to just a few
seconds.
I have does the smb disable stuff at a few accounts but never touched
the settings at other accounts. See www.smallbizserver.net for the
disable smb signing article. Review error logs in the workstation and
server for possible problems and clues.
