Hi Pat,
Many hard drives come with software (or it can be downloaded from the
manuafacturer's web site) that will let you copy all data from the original
drive to the new drive. Most can now handle NTFS, if your workstation is
formatted in that file system. In general, you install the new drive as a
secondary drive in the PC and then boot from a floppy disk or a CD that
contains the special software. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
Maxblast (from Maxtor) is one of these apps, but use the one from the new
hard drive's manufactuer.
