Thanks for the thoughts,

I was able to use my Win XP home PC once for this, before I had to reload
it after a hard disk died. Since then it won't play. If you wern't
supposed to use VPN on XP home, I would have thought by now there would be
an easily identifiable KB article or something.

For reference I cannot even get the home XP PC to operate properly when it
is connected directly to the ADSL router, attached to the office network.
Set the XP PC with a fixed IP addy in the correct range for the ADSL router
and SBS server NIC. The Server NIC obviously plugs into the ADSL router
too. Again it authenticates the VPN to the server, but wont let me view the
server's contents or the office network behind. This rules out anything
internet based being at fault. The only stuff running on the server is
SBS2K, fully patched (as far as I can tell), and Panda Antivirus. The
server is 2 NIC based, and presumably as a laptop with Win XP Pro on it
albeit one that is part of the office network, can use VPN from outside, it
suggests the basic VPN and remote networking configuration of he server is
correct?
