A few shots in the dark to add to the other reasoned suggestions...

On the client's Internet Explorer, Tools...Options...Connections
tab...LAN Settings...Advanced..."Do not use proxy server for addresses
beginning with"...go ahead and add *.asp site.com there.

Consider authentication issues, including an "upstream web proxy
server" problem associated with ISA Server.
