Microsoft has over the past year to 18 months re-defined what it means by
"community". MVPs are selected and renewed based on their
activity/contributions in the community. Community can be newsgroups,
usergroups, dedicated websites, public speaking, etc., etc.
Some of us have been here forever and prefer this. Mariette has had an
excellent site for some time now that has focused on sharing good and not so
easily found information on SBS. The forums on her site are fairly new.
Many of us will exist in both spaces and share info back and forth.
I don't think its a case of either/or, its more a case of no such thing as
too much help
