"Just incase you havent found a solution yet. The only way i have found
to get firebird/firefox to work through isa is to have basic
autentication enabled on the isa server itself. The problem is at the
moment transparent authentication is enabled on the isa outgoing
listener, this is why your getting the 407 error when you try to
connect. Internet explorer is designed to enable you direct access
through isa as a trusted client. If you can get your admin to enable
basic authentication you will just have to enter your domain user/pass
every time you try to connect."
