Can you log on to the server when sitting in front of it? If so go to
Network properties and click on the word Advanced. Click on Advanced
Settings. Make sure you internal nic is at the top of the list. I name
my nics internal and external so doing this task is easier. Make sure
that both nics have only one dns entry and that dns entry is the ip of
your internal nic. That would be 192.168.16.2 if you chose the
standard ip scheme of a SBS200x server.
If you cannot log on to the server shut it down and use the F8 button
to start in safe mode with networking.
I am still confused. Can you ping the ip of your router? Log on
messages are usually way before setting up internet connections.
Internet connections usually don't have any logon comments unless you
are refering to some PPoE connection. I would install a router to make
that PPoE connection if that is what you are dealing with.
