Hi Peter,

Do you have SP1 or SP1a applied to your SBS2000 setup?

I had this happen on one server that had the original release of SBS2000,
the one without the service pack. I think the original had Win2k, SP2
applied, Exchange did not have a service pack applied.

On the original SBS2000, without the service pack, I could not find the
cause of the shutdowns. The shutdowns were random and the event viewer was
clear of errors prior to the shutdown.

This one server that did not have UPS connected to it, yet. This server with
the original SBS2000 was a new installation but using an old P3. I suspected
hardware but could not pinpoint. I bought a new server and installed SBS2000
with SP1 and the shutdown issue went away. I would think it would after that
much investment.

Here is in interesting link about a UPS' issue with SBS2k
