I am setting up SUS on SBS2000.
However, I am experiencing a GPO problem. Perhaps you can
suggest an information source or answer yourself.
BTW I have read deployment Guide and visited SUSSERVER.com
to no avail.
problem is as follows:
SBS2000 running on TWS01
W2000 server running on TWS02
SUS loaded onto TWS02(IIS is running)
SUS sucessfully synchronized with MSUPDATE
TWS01 "patch management" GPO created under AD computers
and users and under TWdomain.local
WUAU.adm downloaded and used to create SUS GPO link under
properties of "patch management" GPO
all (4) policies configured SUS GPO link/edit/computer
config/admin templates/windows components/windows update
"remove access to use all windows update features" enabled
under SUS GPO link/edit/user configuration/admin
templates/windows components/windows update
I have moved a desktop into the "Patch Management" OU
I have waited 24 hours and the GPO is not propogating to
the desktop.
Administrator on user desktop can still access Control
panel "windows update"
Approved patch has not propogated to desktops
