Javier,
Thanks for the response.

Just not completing the remainder of the SBS install until later. I have Win2k Server disks if necessary though. ----- > Step #4-> You need to DCPromo first, shutdown or physically disconnect the > original server and then seize the FSMO roles. Point taken. :) One surprise prevented! ------- > Step #6-> What you mean by migrate workstations? They will still be on the > same domain and with same SIDs. I was under the impression that when the new server came online, the old SIDS would be gone along with the old server and would need to be re-established. Also I would like to preserve user profiles and such. (Note: this network is not a well laid out SBS install. In addition to being an upgrade to 2000 from 4.5, which was an upgrade from 4.0....etc. Most of the workstations did not get the SBS client install run on them. My predecessor just bought Win2k machines and joined them to the domain. And I get to do the fixin'! ) Thanks again, Dave B "Dave B" <ddb@_nospam_amsautomotive.com> wrote in message news:OoI1ERrCEHA.1072@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > I'm getting ready to migrate SBS2k with clean install to new hardware and > would like to use ADMT to transfer users and groups.
