A lot of this depends on how much data you're trying to back up. I use DDS4
tape drives because they're reasonably priced and the tapes are cheap.
There's a lot to be said for fitting a full backup on one tape, so you may
need something bigger.
By the way, if your budget considerations lead you to Travan, IMO that's not
robust enough technology for servers. Also, I think the tape prices are
high enough that you may end up spending on tapes what you save on the
drive. SCSI would be preferred if you have a controller on the server.
