I am the admin of a small network. I have 22 users on my LAN and another 17
users over our WAN for a total of 39 users. All need to access new software
that utilizes MS SQL server and all need access to e-mail. I was considering
purchasing a new server with SBS 2003 premium to take advantage of SQL and
Exchange. (Currently a 3rd party host our e-mail - POP) If I understand
correctly, this machine will need to be my PDC. I had read that SQL server
should not run on a PDC or BDC. I would assume that Microsoft would design
the software to run well on such a small network, however I am obviously
concerned about my dual 3Ghz / 2GB RAM/ 72GB RAID 5 server being
underpowered even with so few users. Thanks.
