Hi Merv,

Sorry I haven't gotten back to the group recently, however I had my
laptop screen die, had to get another laptop, transfer all my data to the
new laptop, etc. Since the last posting, I've contacted the Linux tech and
wanted to know if he could access the Linux box remotely. What I found out
was that the Linux tech could NOT access the Linux box. He looked into it a
little further and found that the ISP (Florida Digital Networks) had changed
some port settings and never notified any of us to this. I will be emailing
FDN by the morning to see what their take on this is and post back to the
group when I receive a reply.

Thanks again for everyone on this newsgroup who has helped with my issue
with this client! I've received quite an education on how to troubleshoot
SBS 2000! Kudos to everyone.

Oh, one final item; could you please repost the url on the website for
non-profit agencies with regards to purchasing Microsoft software at a
discount? I would greatly appreciate it. I tried to look at the thread, but
can't find it anymore. Thanks again!

Regards,
John

P.S.:

Since this posting, I have successfully implemented a SBS 2003 server at
another client (and it went smoothly - with no hiccups at all)!
