You don't need Imap for the new Iphone..
Iphone 3G supports Direct Push for Exhange email, contacts, calendar, etc.

Hi folks. I have a user that we had Iphone working fine via Imap. He has
purchasded the newest version. Problem is that the first Iphone worked fine
with IMAP. The new one does not, even though he imported the settings from
the old one directly to the new. I am trying to test with other mail client
software and i get "The server has rejected yoru login". If I use the
administrator account it works fine (so firewall & basic config is good). For
testing purposes, i added the user to the Domain Admins group & it does not
work. Strangly enough I have had a similar problem in the past with OWA with
the admin being the only one with access to it.

Exch SP2 has not been loaded on the server yet (don't ask). mainly because
the server's C: drive is low on space so I hesitate to load Exch SP2 until we
resolve the HD space issue. At that point we will use ActiveSync, but I need
a workaround for now.

FYI - Nothing has changed on the server to make one Iphone work and the
other not work from one day to the next. Any constructive thoughts to get by
this error are much appreciated.
