This is not out to defend Jeff in any way ... just my comments:
1. I'm sure Jeff would be the first to say that the information in his "Swing Migration" process is based on information readily available (in KB articles, etc.). The information is not new, the process is tweaked to pretty much assure success. I'm speaking from personal experience. I wouldn't know a DCPROMO or an ADPREP if it ran over me. But using his process I've successfully performed Swing migrations.
2. Is the documentation a bit wordy? You bet. But if you look to past posts from Jeff in these newsgroups, you know that that's how he is. Is it a bit disorganized? Perhaps. But once you actually do a Swing all the way through, then go back to his documentation, it starts to make sense - again, at least for me it did.
3. Are key points missing in his documentation? If so, then have you told Jeff? I'm sure he would love to know it. OTOH, perhaps you are looking at an older version of his documentation.
If you don't care for his process, that's fine. I'm not going to convince you otherwise. But please, don't knock his process simply because you don't like it. There are way too many people in these NG's that have used and are using his process successfully every day.
Cheers!

I glad to see someone answer the oridinal question.
As for SWING, it's just a collection of KB acticles and notes. Nothing
special. He claims that he has TOOLS that help in the migration. Most are
useless, and the others in his documentation don't exist (yet).
Is there value in the kit? I don't think so. I spent more time reading it
and tring to figure out what he is saying. He says the same thing over and
over again, and you have to jump from one chapter to another. Not very
orginized.
Some key point are not even mentioned. Like removing the deny rights in
Exchange before importing using EXMERGE.

No...at least in my experience that has always been the case.
The accounts must aleady be in the AD and set-up as part of exchange. They
also must be identicle in name. If not the import for that account will fail.
Also be aware that in the Exmerge import process the admin accounts will NOT
have permission by default to execute the import side of the Exmerge process.
You have to go the Exchange Store security and make certain that the account
used to do the import does not have "Send As" and "Receive As" access denied.
Access denied setting will always trump access given.
Hope that is helpfull.
