Hiya
Is it possible to access the drives on the sbs server once logged onto
rww....But not connected to any desktops or the server.
Background...
We have a number of clients connecting through a Cisco box using cisco
client software (ipsec stuff). The cisco gear sorts out authentcation etc
and we have a shared keys etc.
Once authenticated the users have a tunnel onto our network.
Everything works fine but.....
We need to install the cisco clients onto the users machines. Transfer of
files is slow.
Could we get the users to log into remote web workplace ..but not connect
to any clients or servers..
Once the users is connected to Rww is it possible for them to transfer
files to the shares on the server or establish a vpn connection through
RWW.
By doing this we could remove the cisco client software etc.
Do u think there would be any speed advantage??
The reason we use the cisco client software to ensure a secure connection..
We are told that a standard VPN using pptp isnt secure....
What do you think.
Thanks in advance............
.
