If You go to My Computer > Properties > Computer Name tab
You can change from domain to workgroup
But you must make sure that you know the local administrator password on
that PC

Hello everyone, I am really new at most of the network integration
side of computers - although I am nearly expert in general usage....
I have purchased a computer from a small business which I was a part
of - they were running SBS (latest version).
Since I have removed the workstation, Outlook can't connect to the
server to get the email - how do I change this back to how it used to
be?? I have full reign - the company is basically bankrupt - and we
were running email through our host - 1and1. I deleted the DNS record
in order to hope that 1and1 would start picking up our emails, but it
didn't...
It also has the domain logon screen - I know how to switch where I am
logging into to make it local, but how do I basically make the
computer forget about the SBS????
I will eventually reformat this computer, in about a month, but I was
wondering if there was a fix (taking under a few hours) which will
allow this to act like a typical, single user, admin access, PC.
