Okay, Which question to answer....
What I would do if it were my network.
I would purchase a SonicWall Firewall appliance first off.
Put that Netopia DSL Router into Router mode and remove the DHCP from it and
the NAT from it. I would make it a simple router.
I would configure the SonicWall (VERY EASY) to do the NAT. DHCP should go
on your server (If you have one), if not, SonicWall does a great job as a
DHCP Server.
Since you seem to have an abundance of IP's, I would simple enable
one-to-one NAT and assign each camera an IP.
NOW, with that being said, in the future as IP's on your network start
getting scares (public ones), I would then do port forwarding, or however
the cameras deal with a NAT'd environment, go that route.
The SonicWall addition is a bit spendy, BUT it will make all your future
endeavors well worth it :)

Can someone help me? I have 4 IP cameras that are attaached to the LAN
and I need to make them visible on the internet. We have ADSL (SBC)
with a netopia router. I have tried port forwarding and it was not
behaving correctly no mater what I tried to do to make it work. 2
cameras worked fine, one would work for awhile then stop. Another
would not work at all. I have 13 public IPs and someone said I could
assign thease to each node (10) on the lan and move my public gateway
address to the internal adapter. I was also told to get rid of NAT and
DHCP on the router.
When all devices have their new IP's will they all be able to
communicate? Is this insecure. Is there a better and easier way to do
this? It seems like alot to have to go through to make thease 4
cameras viewable via web browser. Any ssuggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks
