I too have Verizon FIOS and run an SBS server from the home. You have
several things to do, and some depends on whether you have 1 or 2 nics in
your server. It also depends on how you plan to connect your other computers
back to your server (wired? wireless? power over ethernetr? combination?)
SBS works best (in my opinion) with two NICs. You connect the cable from the
FIOS router to one of the NICs in your server.
You then buy an ethernet switch (one with 5 ports will run about $35, one
with 8 ports about $70). You plug the 2nd NIC from your SBS server into one
of the ports. And plug the ethernet cables from each of the other PC's into
the other ports.
The issue is that homes already built generally do not have ethernet cabling
run from romm to room. So unless you are handy and know how to install Cat 5
cabling through the walls and ceilings, you are probably looking at either
using wireless and power-over-ethernet.

Hi
I bought Dell Poweredge server recently with pre-installed SBS. I want to
make this server as the network hub for my home office. How do I do that?
I
currently have Fios internet but is connected to a PC. I would like to go
thorugh the server so that I can browse internet and check emails from any
PC
Thanks in advance for a great help
